Melina Back to the WWE?

With all the WWE returns rumored, two females are in the "maybe" list.
Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria) and Melina Perez.
You never know but I think that they would make great additions to the WWE Diva roster.
In case you forgot about Melina...here are some pictures from back in the day.....

Former WWE Diva Melina in the Ring

Now former WWE Diva Melina really could wrestle.
She was one of the best female wrestlers to ever come through Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks in San Bernardino, California.
Though she won beauty pageants before she started wrestling, she was far more than just a pretty face.

Former WWE Diva Melina Updates

As you all probably already know by now, WWE Diva Melina was released from her contract with WWE on August 5, 2011.
Not being one to just sit around, Melina is already schedualed to take on another former WWE Diva Serena Deeb, on November 19th at the Womens' Superstars Unleashed iPPV at the ACE Arena in Union City, NJ.
Here from Melina's own YouTube channel (RealMelinaDotCom) is Melina talking about the match...

And here from Womens' Superstars Unleashed's channel (wsuwomenswrestling) is Serena talking about the match...

And even though she isn't working for the WWE anymore, she still got involved in the mini firestorm on Twitter when WWE.com posted an article bashing the Divas titled "Divas of Doom...Or Salvation?"
You can see Melina and the Bella's comments here.

And what's in the future for Melina?
Well of course everyone is expecting a TNA run, with Melina joining Brooke Tessmacher (Brooke Adams), Jackie Moore, Mickie James Mickie James, Tara (Victoria/Lisa Marie Varon) and Winter (Katarina Waters) and becoming one of the TNA Knockouts.
Or maybe she will suprise everyone and head to ROH

The WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 Divas

Here are all the WWE Divas that are in the new WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 video game....

From WWE Raw: Ashley, Beth Phoenix, Candice, Jillian, Kelly Kelly, Layla, Melina and Mickie James
And from WWE SmackDown: Maria, Michelle McCool and Victoria
And your standard non-playable characters: Lilian Garcia and Stephanie McMahon.

I thought including Ashley was unusual, but maybe at the time the game was being developed she was still on the roster.
Or maybe she was included because she's still very popular.
And who knows, one day we may get a WWE game that has a "Women's Wrestling Legends" section.
I would think though that it would be a bit too soon to include Moolah and Sherri Martel.
But imagine having Mad Maxine, Wendi Richter, Debbie Combs, Leilani Kai, Missy Hyatt, Rockin' Robin, Heidi Lee Morgan, Alundra Blayze, Tammy Lynn Sytch, Luna Vachon and Tori as unlockable characters.
But I guess that would be a whole different game huh?
Maybe "WWE SmackDown vs. Raw: Divas Edition" ?

WWE Diva Melina's Return

The long awaited return of WWE Diva Melina will be at Cyber Sunday.
She'll participate in the Divas Halloween Costume Contest, but dont look for her to be in ring action yet.
Melina still hasn't been cleared by the doctors yet and her actual ring return wont be until probably January 2009.
You know when I write about the Divas in the WWE that really can wrestle, I often forget Melina.
But Melina made her professional debut back in April 2002. She wrestled extensively in the Indys and OVW before moving to the WWE in 2005.

Last months top ten in female wrestling

Here's a list of last months top ten in female wrestling.....

5.Mickie James

And the rest.......

6. Stacy Keibler

7. Ashley Massaro
GEEZ! NOT WRESTLING! Maybe I should call this blog " The Beautiful Women that USED to Wrestle"!
8. Stephanie McMahon

9. Maria Kanellis
YES! She's actually wrestling!
10. Christy Hemme
The lone TNA Wrestling entry! And yes, she IS wrestling!

Melina Perez vs. Candice Michelle

Melina Perez vs. Candice Michelle Beckman (Non-Title Pudding Match): Hey, it’s women! Wrestling in pudding! This sure will be way more exciting than watching (Deleted) get whacked on The Sopranos, right? Projection? Candice wins with a pudding rollup, and some WWE front office employees get their jollies from putting Melina in a humiliating position.

WWE Womens Wrestling Champion: Melina

Since Melina won the WWE Women's Championship Monday night, I thought I'd do something unprecedented and feature her in not one, not two, but three of my sites.
So Melina's write up will start here and be continued in http://beautifulwrestling2.blogspot.com/ and http://womensprowrestling.blogspot.com/.

Melina Perez (born March 9, 1979) in Los Angeles, California better known simply as Melina, is an American Mexican American professional wrestler and manager, currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment working and wrestling on its RAW brand, where she is the reigning Women's Champion.

Melina is known for her ring entrance, which is a display of her flexibility. Standing beside the ring, she lifts her right leg onto the apron, then lifts her left leg, performing the splits, and then bends her upper body under the bottom rope. Michael Cole and Tazz were quick to label this "the greatest ring entrance in the history of sports entertainment." On RAW, she added another variation to this entrance where she stands on the apron before performing the splits and sliding under the ring.
