This is Danielle Kamela who works for WWE NXT under the ring name Vanessa Borne.
Besides the physical resemblance, both Layla and Vanessa were dancers (Layla was a Miami Heat dancer and Vanessa was a Phoenix Suns dancer) and models before coming to the WWE.
But where Layla came up through the Diva Search, Vanessa was trained by Rikishi and Gangrel at Knokx Pro Entertainment and made her debut on March 26, 2016.
Less than a month after her debut, she was signed by the WWE.
Although I think that Kairi Sane is going to win the Mae Young Classic, I think we will be seeing more of Vanessa.
There's not a whole lot going on with Liv Morgan (Gionna Jene Daddio) in NXT, despite the fact that she has been with them since 2014.
Yeah, it's been that long.
I really wish they would do something with her though.
After hearing that she used to backyard wrestle with her siblings, take pedigrees and powerbombs, and pretend to be Lita...I kinda root for her you know?
That's the kind of person that you WANT to make it in the business.
The "Lass Kicker" Becky Lynch (Rebecca Quin) has been with the WWE since 2013, but she has been wrestling since 2002.
As Rebecca Knox, she wrestled in Ireland, England, France, Germany and Japan before making her way to the WWE.
Besides wrestling, she has also worked as an actress and a flight attendant.
Man time flies.
I had no idea that WWE Diva Carmella (Leah Van Dale) has been with the WWE since 2013.
She was born on October 23, 1987 in Worcester, Massachusetts and signed a contract with the WWE in 2013.
And no, she is not really from Staten Island, New York.
Sorry.
WWE Diva Sasha Banks' (Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado) birthday is tomorrow.
Sasha was born on January 26th, 1992 in Fairfield, California.
She started wrestling in 2010 and made her debut with the WWE in 2015 on NXT.

It's hard to believe that she has been with the WWE since 2007 isn't it?
Yep, in September it will be 10 years.

Alexa Bliss is the new Smackdown Women's Champion. She defeated Becky Lynch at the TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV on December 4th. I'm not as happy about that as a lot of people are because she really doesn't do a thing for me. Maybe it's the faux Harley Quinn look that people like....I dont know. But anyway...she's the champ now.
A while back I did a write up on WWE Diva Carmella and her finisher. Back then it didn't have a name. But now since the "Code of Silence" seems to be THE unbreakable hold in the WWE, I thought I would update that. The Code of Silence (a modified figure-four headscissors) joins other holds like AJ Lee's "Black Widow" (Octopus hold) and Paige's "PTO" (Paige Tapout an inverted sharpshooter with double chickenwing) as being a hold you don't want to get caught in unless you want to tap out. Just ask Nikki Bella.
On WWE NXT on August 31, 2016, we had Liv Morgan vs. Aliyah.
You know, I really like Aliyah.
I think she has everything it takes to be a really good heel.
Although with the way wrestling is today...are there still Faces and Heels, or just "Tweeners"?
Aliyah though seems to be locked in the role of Jobber in NXT.
True she has only been wrestling professionally since 2013 and before coming to the WWE, she held the Great Canadian Wrestling Women's Championship and the Pure Wrestling Association Women's Championship.
Compare that to Carmella who before her debut in the WWE in 2013 held the....well....
And Eva Marie who before the WWE was the...ummm...yeah...
You see where I am going with this right?
Anyway...again..Aliyah jobbed to the less experienced wrestler.
And so it goes.
With all the WWE returns rumored, two females are in the "maybe" list. Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria) and Melina Perez. You never know but I think that they would make great additions to the WWE Diva roster. In case you forgot about Melina...here are some pictures from back in the day.....
On WWE SmackDown, Becky Lynch took on Charlotte, who was of course accompanied by Dana Brooke.
Charlotte took control and kept it up to the first commercial break and it was a decent match.
Not great but good.
Becky locked in the DisArmHer, which of course was Dana's cue to interfere and cause the disqualification which started a beat down that was broken up when Natalya ran in to help Becky.
I'm glad that the Nature Boy is out of this.
The focus is back on the Divas now.
I hate that Becky's hair has changed.
I guess it was getting to close to the WWE's "Golden Girl" Eva Marie.
