Alicia Fox vs Sasha Banks - WWE Divas

On Monday Night Raw, Alicia Fox beat Sasha Banks and ignited a Twitter War.
Alicia beat the Boss with a Scissor Kick and shocked the WWE Universe.
After the match, Noam Dar hoisted Alicia onto his shoulders in celebration.
And the Twitter War began.

Eva Marie vs Cassie - WWE NXT

Well maybe I was right.
I mentioned a while back that Eva Marie was taking her wrestling seriously now and had been training with Brian Kendrick.
Well she showed up on NXT in a match against Cassie...and you know what?
She looked pretty darn good.
You may recall that wanting the fans to take them seriously is what turned Trish Stratus, Candice Michelle and Kelly Kelly into World Champions.
Well maybe this is gonna work out for Eva Marie too.

WWE Monday Night Raw - AJ vs Eva Marie

Yeah I know my last write up was AJ and Eva Marie on SmackDown.
But the WWE forgets it has more than five Divas on the roster sometimes.

Anyway....is Eva Marie actually getting better?
Is she working a lot with Sara Del Ray?
Did I actually see her dominating AJ at one point?

AJ won of course, we knew she was going to.
Heck, half the viewers probably just watched knowing that eventually AJ would clamp the Black Widow on her and make her tap out.

Alicia Goes "Cray Cray" on WWE Monday Night Raw Again....

Once again WWE Diva Alicia Fox dominated WWE Diva's Champion Paige and once again Paige pull an out of nowhere victory out of her hat.
And once again Alicia went nuts after the loss.
But this time she went nuts on her tag team partner Aksana.....

So Who Is WWE Divas Champion Paige Going To Face Now?

With AJ on a leave of absense, who is WWE Divas Champion Paige gonna feud with now?
I really cant get behind a Paige vs Tamina feud.

So will that be it...or will they make the Anti-Diva just wander around for a while from opponent to opponent until they find a good fit?
I am really gonna miss AJ.

The New WWE Divas Champion - Paige

Well the WWE really hit me outta nowhere last night.
In her WWE Monday Night Raw debut, Paige does what 14 Divas couldnt go at Wrestlemania and beat AJ for the WWE Divas Championship!

I am already hearing some people say that the WWE pulled a "Gail Kim", she won the WWE Womens Championship on her WWE Raw debut, but Paige is a little different.
She has been with the WWE at NXT for over two years, and she was already the NXT Womens Champion.

So More power to her.
And I cant wait to see the Paige/AJ feud!

AJ Lee vs. Naomi in a Lumber Jill Match - WWE Raw

On WWE Monday Night Raw, the second of two WWE Divas matches was a Lumber Jill Match with AJ Lee taking on Naomi.
I think this was just done to show you how horrible the 14-Diva match at WrestleMania is gonna be.
If it was, they succeeded.

The WWE has finally started moving NXT Divas up to the "Major Leagues" starting with Aussie beauty Emma (Tenille Dashwood).
Okay....now Paige? 

No Really, Bring Back the WWE Women Tag Team Titles

You know a while back I mentioned that it might be time to bring back the WWE Women Tag Team Titles.
With the Bella Twins back and their feud with The Funkadactyls, now seems like as good as time as any.

Yeah the roster is still a bit thin, but that could easily be fixed by making the belts defendable anywhere, Raw, Smackdown or NXT.
That would give us matches like say The Bella Twins vs Paige and Sasha Banks on NXT for the belt.

Really the possibilities are endless and could lead to some really good cross promotion for the brands.
Plus we would get to see all the Divas in play. 

Maxine Has Left The WWE

On Thursday June 28th it was rumored that WWE Diva Maxine (Karlee Perez) had left the WWE.
Sure enough the next day on Twitter (which is evidently Pro Wrestling's official news service now) Maxine announced that she and the WWE had come to terms on her contract release.

The rumors are that she was frustrated with the company and that she was not getting a guaranteed contract.
As of July 2nd, her profile has been moved to the Alumni section.
As far as I know the WWE has released their "Future Endeavors" statement yet.
Oddly enough, like Gail Kim, Maxine's last TV appearance was on WWE RAW during a diva battle royal.
Hmmmm.....

Snooki at WrestleMania...Yay

I was gonna complain about the 6-person mixed tag team match at WrestleMania XXVII with Trish Stratus, the Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and John Morrison taking on Dolph Ziggler and LayCool.
But I think that Renee Gerber over at bleacher report says all that needs to be said about that.

All I can say is that Snooki being involved in the only "Divas match" at WrestleMania makes me about as happy as when K-Fed pinned Cena on Raw that night.
And I have said that before.

How long has it been since the WWE had a real female wrestling match at a WrestleMania?
Last year at WrestleMania XXVI we had the 10-Diva tag team match with Michelle McCool, Vickie Guerrero, Alicia Fox, Layla and Maryse defeating Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Gail Kim and Eve Torres.

Snooki's first appearance at ...wait...that's Santina...sorry.

The year before that at WrestleMania XXV we had the 25-Diva battle royal for the Miss WrestleMania Crown that "Santina Marella" won.
At WrestleMania XXIV we had the BunnyMania Lumberjack match with Beth Phoenix and Melina (again with Santino Marella) beating Maria and Ashley.
At WrestleMania 23 we had another Lumberjill match for the WWE Women's Championship with Melina beating Ashley.
WrestleMania 22 was the Pillow Fight between Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson which Torrie won.
Before that at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, we had what could really be the last legitamate singles match at WrestleMania for the WWE Women's Championship when Trish Stratus beat Christy Hemme (with Lita).
But I think the last real singles match was back in 2004, when Victoria beat Molly Holly.
Even though the match had a "hair versus hair" gimmick, it was an actual match.
No Lumberjills, no pillows, no one in the corner, a man didn't win the match etc.

So I guess I shouldn't expect anything from the WWE this year huh?

I just keep hoping.

WWE and TNA News - Chuck, Jersey Shore, Sunny and More

On TNA's "Victory Road" Pay-Per View this Sunday, the Knockouts match will be Angelina Love and Winter taking on Sarita and Rosita.

On NBC's Chuck this Monday, former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler will return in her role as a "Greta".
But this time it looks like she'll be getting more screen time.





We all know now that the rumors of Cristiane "Cyborg"Santos coming to the WWE were false.
But what about Beth Phoenix's Tweet on her Twitter page?
"Rumours of Chris Cyborg coming to WWE are interesting. It’s easy to dominate in any fighting division without the Glamazon. In WWE? Prepare to humbled by yours truly."
Yeah we all know it's hype.
I mean Beth is good and I love her to death.
But against the Cyborg?

And the Jersey Shore's Snooki is gonna guest host Raw Monday night?
I haven't been this excited about Raw since K-Fed.

And the first "Diva" Former WWF Diva Tammy Lynn "Sunny" Sytch will be going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
Sunny joins The Fabulous Moolah (Lillian Ellison), "Sensational" Sherri (Sherri Russell), Mae Young (Johnnie Mae Young) and Wendi Richter and Sunny is the youngest person (38) to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Monday Night Raw Divas Battle Royal

On Monday Night Raw this Monday, Brie Bella won a Divas Battle Royal to become the new number one contender to the WWE Divas Title.
Alicia got tossed out first, then Tamina, then Natalya and Melina eliminated each other, then Maryse went out, then Nikki and Brie comes out from underneath the ring to toss Gail Kim out and win.
Eve (who was on comentary) sees this and goes after Brie.
But Nikki was still there and they both start a beatdown on Eve till the refs pull them apart.

So it looks like the big WWE Divas Championship rivalry will be Eve and Brie.
Yay.

Indy wrestler Serena Deeb is still a maybe with the WWE.
She appeared on an episode of ECW on Sci Fi, but has yet to sign a developmental contract.
Serena has worked for Shimmer and Ohio Valley Wrestling and in OVW she has held the Women's Championship six times.

And while they are trying to get one diva into the WWE another has been sidelined for nine months.
Jenny Quinn, a WWE developmental women's wrestler in Florida Championship Wrestling tore her anterior cruciate ligament and will be out rehabing it.
Jenny is known as "Fifi" and Jenny Cash in FCW.

WWE SmackDown! Diva Eve Torres is taking classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Gracie Academy in Los Angeles, California, as are several of her fellow Divas.

WWE Divas Mickie James and Maryse

For the second straight week in a row on WWE Raw, four time ex WWE Women's Wrestling Champion Mickie James pinned the current Diva's Champion Maryse.
This time was in a tag team, but Mickie still scored the pinfall.
Will Mickie be wearing the belt around her waist soon?
Everyone likes Mickie.
Even when she was doing the "Psycho Mickie"storyline with Trish, she got huge pops, even bigger sometimes than the Golden Girl Trish herself.
And Mickie has paid her dues.
She started wrestling in 1999 and wrestled for Indy wrestling promotions, TNA and OVW before finally landing in the WWE in 2005.
The current series of matches with Maryse at house shows and on TV are really getting attention.
To be fair though, one half of the reason Mickie is looking so good is Maryse.
Maryse has come a long way from Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada in 2003.

This may sound strange, but as much as I like Mickie, I hope she doesn't get the belt quickly.
I hope we get to see a really good feud.
It doesn't have to be the "old school" six month to a year draw out program, but I would like to see some real build up.
I personally think it would be a good idea to have the title change hands in August at SummerSlam.

WWE Diva News and Rumors

Last night on WWE Raw, Mickie James took on Maryse in a non title bout.
Mickie got the win with a DDT.

In case you missed the match, here it is...




Evidently the WWE is not too happy with Tiffany being the GM of ECW.
There is talk of maybe putting Tommy Dreamer in the role.


Don't expect to see Candice Michelle on SmackDown anytime soon.
According to her Twitter account " In hawaii with family! Its beautiful here! Went swimming w sharks today and doing therapy in the sunshine!"
Think about it....having to do ankle theraphy isnt exactly great, but getting to do it in Hawaii?
Awesome.


The WWE has signed Indy wrestler Miss April (April Jeanette) to a developmental contract.
She had been working with National Wrestling Superstars and Women Superstars Unleashed.

WWE Divas 18 Diva Tag Team Match

Last night on WWE Raw, they had an eighteen Divas tag match.
I know this is a build up for the 25 Diva Battle Royal at Wrestlemania, but an 18 Diva tag match?
That's got to be confusing even by WWE standards.
And guess who was there?
Yes...Gail Kim.
AND Victoria!
So I guess we can pretty much assume that Gail and Victoria will be at Wrestlemania.

The match was won by the team of Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres, Brie Bella, Mickie James, Maria, Tiffany and Alicia Fox.
Team?
That's more like an army.

BTW, even though this is on WWE Raw, Gail will be on Smackdown this week.
And at the WWE roster page on Wikipedia, Gail is listed as a Smackdown Diva.
I'm thinking we're gonna see a Gail Kim / Maryse feud.

Another BTW, I'm not even gonna talk about the Santino Marella skit after the match.
I just hope we do NOT see him in the Battle Royal.

New TNA Knockout Jenna Morasca ?

Sole survivor and million dollar grand prize winner of CBS' “Survivor: The Amazon”in 2003, Jenna Morasca has signed with TNA.
Why?
I have ragged WWE for signing women that have nothing to do with wrestling, and now TNA turns around and does it.
It can't be star power.
I had to look up who she was.
I mean she won in 2003, that was six years ago.
So why is she in TNA?




Former WWE Diva Joy Giovanni was backstage at Monday's Raw in San Antonio, Texas.
Could she possibly be thinking about a come back?
Maybe in time for the 25 Diva Battle Royal at Wrestlemania?



And rumor has it that the WWE has contacted Luna Vachon to appear in the Battle Royal.
This of course would be better than having Charlie Haas showing up in a dress.
