Alicia Fox vs Sasha Banks - WWE Divas

On Monday Night Raw, Alicia Fox beat Sasha Banks and ignited a Twitter War.
Alicia beat the Boss with a Scissor Kick and shocked the WWE Universe.
After the match, Noam Dar hoisted Alicia onto his shoulders in celebration.
And the Twitter War began.

Of course she won in fairly dominating fashion with the Figure-Eight Leglock submission hold.

Alicia Fox - Beautiful Women of Wrestling

It's hard to believe that Alicia Fox (Victoria Crawford) has been with the WWE since 2006.
But she went through Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) and Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) before finally winding up on SmackDown in 2008.
Her career in the WWE has had it's ups and down, but she did hold the WWE Divas Championship for 56 days back in 2010.
And before that in 2006, technically she won the OVW Women's Championship in a gauntlet match at a House Show, but that wasn't recognized by OVW.

Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox vs. Naomi and Sasha Banks

On WWE Raw Monday night, Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox (with Brie Bella of course) took on Naomi and Sasha Banks (with Tamina).
Fairly nice match only really messed up by two commercial breaks during the matches.
Remember when commercials came before and after matches...not during?
Anyway, Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox won when Nikki hit Naomi with the Rack Attack.

Running late with this, but here are the highlights from AJ taking on Alicia Fox on WWE SmackDown! on October 10th, 2014.
Now this week AJ takes on Layla proving no woman is an island.

WWE Superstars - Alicia Fox vs Nikki Bella

On WWE Superstars last week Nikki Bella took on Alicia Fox.
Of course Nikki won and she won with the Rack Attack.
Has everyone forgotten that name or are they just phasing it out?
I keep hearing it as a Torture Rack, then backbreaker or Backbreaker Rack.

I have to admit Nikki was pretty darn agressive in this match.
And I love the way she sets up the "Rack Attack" or whatever they are calling it now.

Natalya vs Alicia Fox - WWE Superstars

WWE Diva Alicia Fox gave "Total Diva" Natalya almost more than she could handle.
But of course Nat caught her in the sharpshooter and it was game over.

Layla and Alicia Fox vs. The Funkadactyls - WWE Main Event

The Funkadactyls (Naomi and Cameron) took on Layla and Alicia Fox on WWE Main Event this week....and there was no mention at all of Layla even having been gone.
And she was on the losing end of the match.
Not really good signs for the returning Diva.

 

Monday Night Raw - The Bella Twins vs. Aksana and Alicia Fox

On Monday Night Raw this past Monday we got two and a half Diva matches.
The half match was Summer Rae and Fandango vs. Emma and Santino Marella and the full match was the Bella Twins vs. Aksana and Alicia Fox aka "Foxsana".
Standard Diva match, which is kinda sad considering how well the WWE Diva bouts were for the most part last week.

Do you know that Alicia Fox has been with the WWE for almost eight years now?
She should be WAY better than she is.

Anyway, like I said, pretty standard back and forth match with Nikki hitting the "Rack Attack" for the win.
It's matches like this that keep me from getting really excited about the Diva's division

Melina Versus Alicia Fox at Summer Slam

You probably already know that the SummerSlam WWE ppv is August 15, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Among the featured wrestling matches will be a Divas match for the WWE Divas Championship between Melina (the challenger) and Alicia Fox (the champion).
This will be the first time this title has been defended at Summer Slam.

Maybe the WWE will end this farce and put the belt back into the hands of an actual wrestler.
The only thing I have against this match is the lack of build up.
Melina returned to the WWE on August 2nd on RAW, jumped Alicia and now she already has a title shot.
Less than two weeks build up?
I know Melina is a fan favorite, and she has the skills, mike and in ring.
But shouldn’t they have aimed for a bit more of a build up?
I guess I am just spoiled from "back in the day" when feuds had months of build up.

UPDATE:
Well the WWE did give Melina the WWE Diva's belt as she beat Alicia Fox at last night's SummerSlam.
Best part of the match to me:
It looks like Melina injures her knee early in the match...so Alicia goes to work on her arm.
Brilliant!

And afterwards, Team Lay-Cool interrupted Melina's victory celebration with a one sided beat down.

WWE Wrestling - Melina versus Alicia Fox

Last night on WWE Monday Night Raw, they had a Diva's Championship match with the champion Melina defending her title against Alicia Fox.
I still cannot figure out why in the world Fox is getting such a push, but how can I not like a match that Judah Friedlander from "30 Rock" is involved in?
Well Frank...I mean Judah comes out and says that he will be the special guest announcer and he introduces Melina and Alicia.
Alicia jumps on Judah (not literally) and tells him to announce her as the next Diva Champion.
Judah says he cant do that, he only came to Raw for two reasons....
One, to see Melina's entrance, and two, to announce that the Diva's Championship match is now a lumberjill match.
The Divas all come out and surround the ring.
The match takes place and I'm wondering why we aren't watching Melina and a real contender going at it rather than this.
(wasn't Alicia almost fired from OVW for showing up for work intoxicated once? Why yes she was.)

But anyway Melina pulls out the victory (thank goodness) which leads to an all out brwal and "Team Mickie" coming out on top.
