Melina Back to the WWE?

With all the WWE returns rumored, two females are in the "maybe" list.
Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria) and Melina Perez.
You never know but I think that they would make great additions to the WWE Diva roster.

It seems like a lot of the pictures of WWE Diva Paige that I post here lately are of her getting beat up by a Bella.
I know Paige has a lot of fans out there, so here are some shots of Paige not getting the short end of the stick.

No Really, Bring Back the WWE Women Tag Team Titles

You know a while back I mentioned that it might be time to bring back the WWE Women Tag Team Titles.
With the Bella Twins back and their feud with The Funkadactyls, now seems like as good as time as any.

Yeah the roster is still a bit thin, but that could easily be fixed by making the belts defendable anywhere, Raw, Smackdown or NXT.
That would give us matches like say The Bella Twins vs Paige and Sasha Banks on NXT for the belt.

Really the possibilities are endless and could lead to some really good cross promotion for the brands.
Plus we would get to see all the Divas in play. 

Kaitlyn - The WWE Divas Champ

At the risk of turning this blog into "WWE Kaitlyn", here are two more pics that I thought were really good of the current WWE Divas Champion , Kaitlyn.
(You know I called that weeks before it ever happened right? Okay...I know I'm beating a dead horse)
I think it's amazing that Kaitlyn has this much size to her still (remember she was competing as Celeste Bonin before the WWE) and the "Powers That Be" in the WWE seem to have no problem with it.

Heck, I think she looks bigger than Aksana (Živilė Raudonienė), who was a National level IFBB competitor before the WWE.
But as much as I rag the ladies that come into the WWE out of non-wrestling related activities, I have to say that I am very happy for Kaitlyn and the success that she has had in the WWE.
I hope the WWE is too.
Because if they lose her, AJ and Natalya, the division is pretty much over now.

Is Kaitlyn The Next WWE Divas Champion?

On the November 12th episode of Raw Monday night, Kaitlyn defeated Layla to become the number one contender for the divas title against Eve at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

How do I feel about that?
I seriously dont know.
I love Kaitlyn and I think half the internet does (the half that doesn't love AJ Lee that is) and I love Layla too.
But right now besides Eve, Kaitlyn and Layla, all we have is AJ, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Natalya, Rosa Mendes (Who's pretty much just a valet now) and Tamina Snuka (recovering from a back injury).
So I guess Kaitlyn is as good as any Diva right now.

Except for Natalya who should be Champ...but hey.....

Eve Is Back On Top In The WWE

We all know that Eve Torres is the first WWE Diva to be a three time WWE Divas Champion.
I've said before that I love heel Eve and now she seems to be pretty much tearing up the scenery.
And Beth and Layla and Kaitlyn.

Of course after she won Stars Earn Stripes, we all pretty much knew she was getting the belt back.

But I don't mind, she looks like she enjoys her work so much.....

Happy Late Birthday Torrie Wilson

One of the most popular women here on this blog is former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson, and her birthday was Tuesday!
So HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TORRIE!
Sorry about the shouting...

Like I said, even though Torrie retired back in 2008, she is still very popular here.
A lot of that may have to do with the fact that she's (A) Gorgeous, (B) She had a career that spanned nine years from the WCW to the WWE and (C) that she's dating New York Yankees superstar third baseman Alex Rodriguez.
That last one alone keeps her in the news....

Oh yeah...I should have added a (D) That she is STILL in incredible shape despite begin retired for over 4 years.
Heck, she could put on her gear now and climb in the ring and still look as good (if not better) than she did in her WWE days.

Maxine Has Left The WWE

On Thursday June 28th it was rumored that WWE Diva Maxine (Karlee Perez) had left the WWE.
Sure enough the next day on Twitter (which is evidently Pro Wrestling's official news service now) Maxine announced that she and the WWE had come to terms on her contract release.

The rumors are that she was frustrated with the company and that she was not getting a guaranteed contract.
As of July 2nd, her profile has been moved to the Alumni section.
As far as I know the WWE has released their "Future Endeavors" statement yet.
Oddly enough, like Gail Kim, Maxine's last TV appearance was on WWE RAW during a diva battle royal.
Hmmmm.....

Layla El Returns!

On March 22nd, 2012 in a match at FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling), Layla El returned to the ring.
I wondered how long it was gonna take her to get back up to the "Big Leagues" and it wasn't long as she replaced Beth Phoenix in a match for the WWE Divas Championship at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on April 29th.

That night she took on and defeated Nikki Bella to win the WWE Divas Championship.
The next night on Raw, she took on the departing Bella Twins in a triple threat match and retained the title.

Layla has quite a bit of WWE championship history as she is the first British woman to hold the championship, the first Diva Search winner to win the championship, and the last recognized WWE Women's Champion before they retired that belt.

Eve Torres - The Best Heel?

Is it really bad that I like Eve way more as a heel than as a face?

She's cocky, she glares, she laughs and smiles when she's torturing opponents in holds.
She's great!

I only wish the WWE would allow her to slip some of her Brazilian jiu-jitsu training into the matches.
How cool would it be to see a heel that gets clean wins (submissions even) over her opponents?
It's the idea that not only does she THINK she's better than you...she IS better than you.

Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson is the most popular lady on this blog.
So what's she doing these days?
Well she kinda made headlines when she and New York Yankees boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez showed up at WWE Wrestlemania 28.
And she seems to get a lot of air time when she's in the stands at the Yankees games.
I wonder why?

Mickie James vs Alissa Flash - Women's Pro Wrestling

Here are some pics of TNA Knockout Mickie James taking on Alissa Flash (Cheerleader Melissa) at TCW Wrestling.

Of course Alissia was a TNA Knockout at one time, pulling double duty as Alissa and Raisha Saeed.
Now she is working not only on the Indy circuit but also for TNA's Indian promotion Ring Ka King, again performing as both Alissa and Raisha.

There were a ton of wrestling superstars at the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame event before WrestleMania XXVIII.
But here is one pairing in particular that was amazing.
Talk about an "Axis of Evil".
Imagine if Maryse decided to come out of retirement and team up with Eve.
They could have a run that would make The Beautiful People and Lay-Cool look tame in comparison.
However, it's only a dream.

Maryse is going on to "Future Endeavors"

Like last year, I thought I would make a list of all the lovely ladies that have passed through the door of the "Sports Entertainment" giant, the WWE
You do know now we are not supposed to refer to their Superstars and Divas as wrestlers right?
So I guess technically it's WE. But I think WE is taken and they dont want another round like they had with the World Wildlife Fund.
Those pandas can deliver a mean chair shot.

Gail Kim seems to be getting more publicity now than she did the whole time she was back in the WWE.
For one thing, she is now the TNA Women's Knockout Champion and one half of the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions (with Madison Rayne).
This is the second time she has held the Knockout Championship and she's the second TNA Knockout to hold the Knockouts and Knockouts Tag Team Championships at the same time.
The other one was Gail's partner Madison.
And of course her upcoming Spring wedding with TV chef Robert Irvine keeps her in the media.

With all the comings and goings in the WWE, it's hard to keep track of everyone.
But as we have seen with Mickie James, Lisa Marie Varon, Gail Kim and others, just because you leave the WWE, doesn't mean you leave wrestling.
Case in point, ex WWE Diva Maria Kanellis.
Yes Maria will be returning to the squared circle on February 25th, 2012 for New York City based wrestling promotion, Family Wrestling Entertainment.
This will be her first match in over two years, but she said recently on her Facebook page that she had resumed wrestling training.

Okay, Maria was really popular, but to me she was the ultimate Diva jobber.
Don't get me wrong, jobbers are important in wrestling.
They make the heels and faces look better and to tell you the truth, there arent really any jobbers left in the WWE Diva ranks anymore.
It's kind of a lost art.

As far as Family Wrestling Entertainment goes, I had never heard of them.
I checked their website and found this as their "mission statement"...

Looking at an upcoming card, I noticed that former WWE Diva and current TNA Knockout Winter would be taking on another former WWE Diva Jackie Haas (who I really liked and thought the WWE pretty much wasted) in a match.

We just got over losing Gail Kim, and now "The French Canadian Beauty" Maryse Ouellet has left the WWE Divas ranks.
She was released from her WWE contract on October 28, 2011 and that caught a lot of people off guard.
Maryse has been with the WWE since 2006 and disregarding some storylines where they basically underused her, she had shown a lot of improvement.
For a former Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada, she was fairly decent in the ring, but she had great mike skills.
And she had the blond heel role down pretty pat.
You know you CAN thrive in the WWE with no so great wrestling ability as long as you can get the crowd going.
::cough:: John Cena ::cough::

Now where will Marsye go?
I hate to say that she won't go to TNA since I was dead wrong about that with Gail Kim.
But I really can't see it.
The only way I could see Maryse at TNA would be as a Karen Jarrett type character.

I'm gonna guess that the blond beauty will aim more for modeling and acting.
Kinda like Stacy Keibler.
We saw how well that went.
Of course Stacy is dating George Clooney now.
I think George has this Elvis thing about female wrestlers.
Mark my words.

Andreia Brazier and Mickie James - Separated at Birth?

Okay, this really has nothing to do with anything, but when I ran across this picture I thought "Wow...she could be Mickie James' younger sister!"
The lady in question is fitness model Andreia Brazier from Brazil.
I really think TNA should look into signing this girl even if she can't wrestle.
Hey, the WWE Divas do it all the time, why not TNA?



Can you imagine Mickie and Andreia holding the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships?
I know this totally flies against my dislike of models in wrestling, but I'm allowed this one okay?

Aksana Do Over

You know, I take the summer off and everything changes.
Case in point, Aksana (Zivile Raudoniene).
You probably already know that Zivile was an IFBB Figure Pro with a very promising career before she joined the WWE.
She had racked up wins at the 2006 NPC Metropolitan, the 2006 NPC Pittsburgh, the 2007 IFBB New York Pro and the 2009 Arnold Classic before agreeing to step into the squared circle.

Zivile started out in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) under the name "Olga", but it was soon changed to Aksana.
Good thing too because with "Olga", her European background and her musculature, I was afraid they were going for a female version of Mighty Igor or Ivan Putski.



But like I said, her name was changed to Aksana and she started managing Eli Cottonwood in November of 2009.
Then in January 2010, she made her in-ring debut and actually started wrestling.
Funny thing is, that when she started wrestling, she reminded me of Trish Stratus when she first started out.



But in August of 2011, Aksana showed up on SmackDown! with the same name, but a whole new look.
She doesn't remind me of Trish anymore and if anything, I think her new look has made her way hotter.
Now the blonde haired Aksana has jet black hair with bangs and dark skin.

Maybe they should stop making her act and just focus on wrestling...
Yeah right.
