Lita Will Be in the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame

Lita (Amy Dumas) is gonna get to be in the WWE Hall of Fame.
And as Martha Stewart used to say, “That's a good thing”.

Gail Kim Turning Heel?

I've been saying that I thought they should turn Gail heel for awhile now.
I like Gail, but I like the evil-submission specialist-I'll make you beg for mercy before the match is over Gail.
Remember when she submitted Victoria with the Flying Dragon / Christo (Tilt–a–whirl headscissors armbar)?
Well I do.

With both Michelle McCool AND Maryse injured, now would be the time to bring in the evil Gail to go after Mickie James' newly won Divas Championship.
I personally think a Mickie James / Gail Kim feud would be awesome.
But lets take it a step further.
No lingerie pillow fights or mud wrestling, let's give them a storyline like the old Trish / Victoria / Lita days.
Maybe an "I Quit Match" or a steel cage match.
Lets let these two really go at it and show just what they can do.
Remember, Mickie (to my knowledge) is the only woman to compete in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match.
That's a tough match.

And draw it out some.
They don't have to go to the "old school" lengths of a year build up, but give the ladies several months to really get some heat going.

With the right booking, this could be one of the storylines of the year.
Not just three TV appearances and one PPV.

TNA Knockout News and Amy Dumas (Lita)

Besides all the Victory Road news, a rumor coming out of TNA is that Traci Brooks (Is she still the Knockout Law?) and Christy Hemme will both be returning for this weeks taping.
And also rumored to appear is Japanese star, Ayako Hamada.

Traci and Christy coming back, Sarita and Ayako debuting right behind each other....
Is TNA set to knockout (sorry) the other wrestling promotion's women's division?

And there is another rumor surfacing that former TNA Knockout Karen Angle is living with.....Jeff Jarret?
Talk about an uncomfortable working situation with Jarret being so high up in TNA and Kurt Angle working for them.
Of course this is ONLY a rumor.

Change The Record.net has an interview up with Lita (Okay, enough time has passed...it's Amy Dumas now).
The cool thing to me is that Amy talks about why she wasn't at Wrestlemania.

Faye: Were you invited to take part in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25, this year? If so, why did you turn it down?
Amy: Did you see that match?!
Faye: Yeah, it was so bad!
Amy: Right, that’s why I turned it down.

You can read the interview and understand why I like the way Amy thinks here:

Okay, here is an updated list of the WWE Divas for the 25 Diva Battle Royale at WrestleMania.

Confirmed:
WWE Women's champion Melina
WWE Diva's champion Maryse
Mickie James
Gail Kim
Michelle McCool
The Bella Twins
Alicia Fox
Kelly Kelly
Maria
Eve Torres
Katie Lea Burchill
Beth Phoenix
Layla El
Rosa Mendes
Candice Michelle
Natalya Neidhart
Jillian Hall
Tiffany

No:

Sable

Debra McMichael
Mae Young

Maybe:
Tammy Sytch
Wendi Richter (PWInsider.com says no)
Jackie Gayda
Trish Stratus
Tori Wilson
Victoria

That's 19 confirmed and 5 maybes.
That's 24 if all the maybes decide to participate.
They may wind up making Steph get her wrestling boots after all.
And if the maybes don't do it at all, it may be time to call up the FCW Divas....

More Diva's Battle Royal News and a TNA Sarah Stock Update

"Okay Steph, suit up, you're going out there...."

Molly Holly will not be appearing in the Diva's Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 25.
During the Wrestlemania weekend she'll be signing autographs, but she wont be working in the ring.
But at the rate Divas seem to be dropping out, WWE maybe making a call begging her to reconsider.

Debra Marshall (Debra) will not be at Wrestlemania 25 either.
Like Lita (Amy Dumas) she'll be in Houston at Booker T's charity event on April 3rd.

And I hate to say this, but it looks like WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young will be in the Battle Royal.
UPDATE: According to the WWE, the 86 year old Mae Young will NOT be in the Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 25.

I wonder why no one has asked if Stephanie McMahon will be in the Battle Royal?
She was the WWF Women's Champion at one point.......

And now SuperLuchas.net is saying that Sarah Stock (Dark Angel) is NOT going to TNA.
We know that Sarah still has several CMLL match obligations in Mexico, so it may be awhile before we know for sure anyway

Lita not at Wrestlemania?

It appears now that Lita will not be at Wrestlemania 25.
She has e-mailed fans saying that she will instead be at Booker T's Legends of Wrestling Fanfest charity event on Friday.

As MC pointed out, Sunny is rumored to be at Wrestlemania 25.

Gail Kim to Return at Wrestlemania 25 ?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Well the WWE Wrestlemania 25 women's wrestling event may be a disappointment to some.
A lot of fans were looking forward to at least one good singles match, but they are having a 25 Diva Battle Royal.
How can they have a 25 Diva Battle Royal?
The WWE doesn't even have 25 Divas do they?
Nope, but they are calling up the reserves.
This could be as much fun for the female wrestling fans as a Legends Battle Royal

The list goes like this, but I already see one possible exception.

1. Beth Phoenix
2. Candice Michelle (recently injured her ankle, expected to be out till April, will she make it?)
3. Jillian Hall
4. Kelly Kelly
5. Layla
6. Melina
7. Mickie James
8. Rosa Mendes
9. Brie Bella
10. Eve
11. Maria
12. Maryse
13. Michelle McCool
14. Nikki Bella
15. Alicia Fox
16. Katie Lea Burchill
17. Natalya
18. Tiffany

Now the other participants are up in the air, but rumors include.....

Trish Stratus
Lita
Torrie Wilson
Victoria
Jackie Gayda (Jackie Gayda-Haas)
And the return of Gail Kim.

Of course this is the perfect time to bring Gail back in, have her win the match and be declared the new number one challenger.
Remember the first battle royal Gail was in?

I have to admit, I think Mr.McMahon came up with a good idea this time.
This will give all the Divas some Wrestlemania time.

WWE Diva Wrestling Posters

I found these posters at PosterGods.com

It kinda struck me as strange that they had only 3 WWE Diva posters there and two of them are women that no longer wrestle for WWE.

They have a Candice Michelle.
Still wrestling, but not very much exposure.

A Torrie Wilson.
Not wrestling anymore, but running a successful clothing line.
And she is keeping her contact with her wrestling fans by making appearances.
Her next one being Booker T's "Legends of Wrestling" convention on Friday, April 3.

And an Ashley Massaro.
Although there is that rumor that Ashley may actually come back to the WWE.
WWE's head television producer Kevin Dunn used to be very big on Ashley.
One reason being that she was a WWE Diva Search winner and Kevin was the main person behind the Diva Search concept.
He was instrumental in getting her on the Survivor: China show, and possibly her "Smallville" gig.
But when Ashley got back from the Survivor show, Ashley didn't get the pop from the fans that she used to.
Some put that down to her change in appearance.
Also, some people say that she helped in the downfall of Paul London in the WWE.
Of course Ashley dated both Paul and Matt Hardy when she was in the WWE, and that might have something to do with the bad blood between Matt and Paul now.

All this attention to past Divas goes back to what I've mentioned a few times here and on my other women's wrestling blog, that sometimes the most popular ladies aren't even actively wrestling anymore.
Trish Stratus, Lita and Stacy Keibler are still very popular with fans, even after not actively competing for awhile.

Ashley Massaro Back to the WWE?

Former (?) WWE Diva Ashley Massaro posted on her MySpace blog about a return to TV.
Everyone seems to assume its a return to the WWE....
" I shoud be back o your television screens in no time! I miss you terribly and want to thank everyone ho showed support and love during this hard time. I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I OVE YA!!!!
So much to tell you but its a surprize!!!!!!! "
...but remember she has done other TV....okay Smallville, so I wonder if Ashley may be following in the footsteps of Trish and Lita and striking off on her own.
Not that I would mind seeing her back in the WWE, it's just with their schedule, would that be the right move for her now?

Former WWE Diva Amy Dumas (Lita)

Former WWE Diva Amy Dumas (Lita)

The Luchagors is a punk rock band based in Atlanta, Georgia. It is fronted by Amy Dumas, better known as Lita to pro wrestling fans of the WWE. During her last wrestling match at Survivor Series 2006, Dumas was seen wearing a Luchagors t-shirt.

After retiring from professional wrestling, Dumas moved back to Atlanta, Georgia and became romantically involved with her high-school crush Shane Morton. They began to write songs together and formed the band in the summer of 2006.

The name Luchagors is a homage to the term Luchador, a Lucha libre performer. Dumas performed this style early in her professional wrestling career. It is combined with the word gore, as in horror films, of which Amy and Shane are fans.

The band started out playing small gigs in and around the Atlanta area. Shortly afterwards, four tracks made their way around the Internet. Three can be found on the band's MySpace ("White Boy", "All There Is" and "Already Gone"), while live performances of "Burn" and a cover of "I Wanna Be Sedated" by The Ramones have shown up on YouTube.

The band's world premiere show was at the Rock-n-Shock event, which was held at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia on September 14, 2006. The event took place to honor Sean Shocker.

In early 2007, they began recording their debut album, which is being produced by Skid Row bassist, Rachel Bolan. They finished recording the tracks for their album, on March 17, 2007. However, in August 2007, an original member of the group, Troy the drummer, left the band.

Their self-titled debut album was released physically and as a download through online outlets on September 11.

Future looks good for Amy Dumas

Future looks good for Amy Dumas
By Mike Mooneyham

Sunday, July 8, 2007

She's been a four-time world wrestling champion, written her own book, and has enjoyed success and popularity throughout the world.

But Amy Dumas feels her best days are in front of her.

The 32-year-old Dumas, better known to pro wrestling fans as Lita, is now juggling new careers, making rare independent wrestling appearances and serving as singer and songwriter for the Atlanta-based punk rock band The Luchagors.

Local fans will be able to see the red-headed beauty in both capacities when she opens a United Wrestling Federation show July 19 at Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler in North Charleston. She and her band will host an after-party later that evening at The Plex.

WWE - Amy Dumas

Q and A with Amy Dumas

By Kevin Eck
Sun Reporter
Originally published February 22, 2007

Anyone who has ever watched Amy Dumas, formerly known as Lita, perform her acrobatic, high-flying moves in WWE knows that she isn't afraid to take risks. Dumas perhaps took her biggest chance yet last November when she left WWE after nearly seven years to pursue a career in the music business. The former women's wrestling champ is the lead singer of the Luchagors, an Atlanta-based punk rock band. Dumas, 31, hasn't walked away from the ring completely, however, and she will make an appearance at Sunday's Maryland Championship Wrestling show in Dundalk.

What went into your decision to leave a highly successful career with WWE?

It felt like it was time to at least see what else was out there. It's a job that you have to give 110 percent to be successful at, and I just felt like I didn't have 110 percent to give anymore. I feel like if I would have stayed longer with WWE I would have started to resent my time there, because you're so inundated with the schedule and everything.

How did you feel about your breakup with fellow wrestler Matt Hardy and your involvement with Edge [Adam Copeland] becoming public knowledge and then being played out in a WWE story line?
