Gail Kim and Jackie Moore on TNA iMPACT

Last night on TNA iMPACT, Gail Kim took on Jackie Moore, with Gail emerging victorious after Gail hit a reverse neckbreaker on Moore for the pin
After the match , Christy Hemme and Roxxi Laveaux ran in and all 3 tried to beat down Gail. Gail rolled out of the ring, and then the 3 remaining wrestlers attacked each other.
I guess this establishes Christy, Roxxi and Jackie as heels.

WWE Diva Victoria and Steroids

WWE Diva Victoria is another one besides Batista that's more than a little upset about the general leveling of steroid accusations

On her MySpace page she starts out.....
" I'm sick to my stomach about a couple of things, and I want to address them. First, I get some emails today asking me if I'm one of the WWE Divas that "a number of WWE sources" claim are using drugs. Where did that information come from? Where did that quote come from? Wrestling websites. So I want to address those wrestling websites... "

Beth Phoenix and Maria on RAW last night

Wow, Beth Phoenix beat Maria last night.
Okay I know I said yesterday it was gonna be a squash, but that's not some huge psychic flash now is it?
Beth beat her very quickly. I dunno what her finishing move is, but it looks kinda like a fisherman's supplex to me.
After the match, Beth grabbed the mike and announced that she is cashing in her Women's title shot at Unforgiven and wants to show Candice how she gets the job done. She picks up poor Maria and slams her again and Candice runs out to make the save but has second thoughts and instead just tends to Maria.

My hope..... Beth creams Candice at Unforgiven, and we get to see the Beth versus Victoria feud for the title!
I know, keep dreaming.

WWE Diva: Maria Kanellis...push over?

Maria's push seems to have vanished as she was just a target for getting Beth Phoenix over last Monday night on WWE RAW.
I really wanted to see Maria pull a Candice Michelle and start to shine. I never really expected Maria to win the Women's Wrestling title, but remember those jobbers back in the 80's that made it look like they might win? The ones that wrestled matches that weren't total squashes?
Oh yeah, the matches lasted more than 3 minutes back then too.
I forgot.

Almost a WWE Diva: Lauren Jones

Well Lauren Jones may not have actually made it to WWE Diva status, but we can always hope.
The sad thing is that in interviews, she seemed intent on becoming a diva that actually wrestled. From the way she was talking, she might have been the next Trish Stratus.

She hasn't been sitting on her laurels though, ( I know, BAD attempt at a pun) She's appeared on the Nickelodeon TV series The Naked Brothers Band, MTV2's Wonder Showzen, the soap opera, Guiding Light, and as a Barker's Beauty on the CBS' game show The Price is Right, where she appeared for five weeks in April and May 2007.

Lauren is starring in the scripted/reality hybrid series Anchorwoman, that premiered on the Fox Broadcasting network last night, August 22, 2007. Some journalists voiced outspoken criticism of her 30-day broadcast-news stunt at a small Tyler, Texas television station.

WWE RAW: Candice Michelle and Mickie James against Melina and Beth Phoenix

Last night on Raw there was a very decent match with Candice Michelle and Mickie James against Melina and Beth Phoenix.
Melina came out first, I'm so glad her hair looks normal now and not that modified " Bride of Frankenstein" thing she had going on.
Beth Phoenix came out next. I dunno, maybe its that floor length cape/vest thing she wears during her intro, but the woman looks wicked! She's got this awesome supervillainess vibe.
Then of course " Superball" Mickie James came out bouncing, I swear I think shes gonna start ricocheting off the barriers one day.
Then Candice came out with her new techno remix of her theme. Maybe it was just me, but her pop seemed less than stellar.
Before the match starts, RAW GM William Regal comes out and announces that at SummerSlam all the divas from all 3 brands will be in a Battle Royal to determine a new number 1 contender for Candice's title.
Short match with some good moves from all involved.
Candice won with a roll-up I haven't seen outside of Lucha Libre.
Then while celebrating, her partner Mickie James spinning wheel kicks her. Melina chucks Mickie out and Beth tosses Melina out the hard way.
I guess this is to get across the " every woman for themselves " message.
Candice Michelle, Mickie James, Melina, Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall and Victoria all in a battle royal?
Heck, I might just get this PPV after all.
Just to see Beth against Victoria would be worth the price.

Debra Gale Marshall (born March 2, 1960 in West Blocton, Alabama) is an American real estate agent and former professional wrestling manager and WWE Diva. She is best known by her ring name, Debra. Before becoming involved in wrestling, Debra was a beauty pageant participant, winning Miss Illinois America and the runner-up for Miss Texas USA.

Before becoming involved in wrestling, Debra had a small role in the 1994 film Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation as a policewoman.

In 1999, Debra hosted the Teen Choice Awards, presenting two awards. Debra and Shawn Michael's appeared on a German chat show on the 26 February 1999. On February 16, 2002, she and Steve Austin appeared on an episode of Mad TV. On March 10, 2002, Debra appeared on an episode of The Weakest Link alongside several other members of the WWE roster.

On August 7, 2006, Debra appeared on the British talk show GMTV, discussing both her WWE career and her current movie roles.

See, we just got a press release announcing that on July 25, Stacy Keibler -- who was, apparently, on Dancing With The Stars or something? -- is now a judge for something called the Venus Breeze Legs of a Goddess contest. And a week from Wednesday, says the release, she'll be at the American Airlines Center "to conduct a search for the woman with the best legs in Dallas, and later, America."

WWE Champ Candice Michelle in peril

Well it was true, Candice Michelle was in a No Disqualification Champions Only Match partnered with John Cena against Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch and Umaga last night on RAW. Just as I thought things couldn't get worse, Cade & Murdoch held Candice in the corner for Umaga. Thank goodness Jeff Hardy ran in with a steel chair and made the save.
Now, did I want to see the Women's Champ in a match like this?
No.
I know the WWE loves their women in peril story lines, but Candice is the Champion and I think she should be given more respect.

Sure, a pretty face and appealing figure can get a girl’s foot in the door with World Wrestling Entertainment. That helps explain how a former Playboy Playmate of the Year got as far as the finals of WWE’s inaugural RAW Diva Search in 2004 despite little apparent skill or enthusiasm for the “squared circle.”

It takes more to stick in the business.

At a minimum, it requires enthusiasm to fly to Memphis, then drive to Tupelo and Biloxi, Miss., on successive days — and then drive to Pensacola and finally New Orleans, all in less than a week.

Three years after that 2004 search, Michelle McCool is still there, even though the 1998 Palatka High School graduate was eliminated a month or so before the playmate. She was contacted a few months later, extended a contract and has been with WWE (or the affiliated Deep South Wrestling) ever since, outlasting a bout with illness — and all but one of the original Diva Search contestants.
