It seems like it's promo time for the WWE Divas.

First, the long awaited first look at Awesome Kong in the WWE....



And then the not so long awaited promo for Brandi Alexis Reed in FCW...



From the looks of it, FCW maybe going with a Middle Eastern gimmick with Brandi.

I havent really mentioned TNA here that much lately (frankly, I havent seen the need to) but here is a reason why.....

TNA Knockout and FCW Diva News

At TNA's "Against All Odds" PPV on Sunday night (February 13, 2011), the champion Madison Rayne took on Mickie James in a Last Knockout Standing match.
Mickie went after the loaded glove, and actually got it.



But that was ruined when Tara interfered, the ref got distracted and Madison laid Mickie out with brass knuckles that she had hidden in her boot.
Always carry a back up.



In (kinda) WWE Diva news, Aksana and AJ Lee beat the debuting Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero) and Naomi Night at a FCW show in Gainesville, Florida on February 12th, 2011.
Maxine was the special referee and Shaul's mother Vickie Guerrero saw fit to interfere in the match and cost Shaul and Naomi the match.

Taylor Wilde Calls It Quits

Former TNA Knockout, Taylor Wilde has called it quits.
Taylor (whose real name is Shantelle Larissa Malawski) was born on January 26, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
She was trained by Rob "El Fuego" Etcheverria (Squared Circle Training) and Bill DeMott (Deep South Wrestling)
Taylor made her pro wrestling debut in June 2003 at the age of seventeen under the name Shantelle Taylor and was featured on the Discovery Channel's documentary Slam Bam in 2004.
Also on that show was Tiana Ringer, and you may recall when Taylor (Shantelle) hit Tiana with a cross body press, Tiana botched it and got a concussion.
After that, Taylor went on to work for wrestling promotions like Shimmer Women Athletes, Blood Sweat and Ears, Pure Wrestling Association and Twin Wrestling Entertainment among others.
She even spent some time in Mexico as a luchadora and went on a three show tour of South Africa.

In 2006, Taylor was signed by the WWE and sent to Deep South Wrestling (DSW) and then Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
For awhile, she wrestled masked as San-Eye.
She was released by the WWE on August 13, 2007, and decided to devote her time not to wrestling, but to a college degree.

But that didn't last long as she soon had a tryout match for TNA Wrestling and on May 8th, 2008, was signed to a contract.
In TNA she held both the TNA Women's Knockout Championship (once) and the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship (twice, once with Sarita and once with Hamada).
Doing that made Taylor the first wrestler to hold both the belts.

On December 29th, 2010, Taylor confirmed that she had left TNA and on January 10th, 2011, she announced that she was leaving wrestling.
She had her retirement match on February 5, 2011, at a ChickFight and Pro Wrestling Revolution promotion in San Francisco, California and she lost her retirement match to another former TNA Knockout, Alissa Flash (Cheerleader Melissa).

Besides saying that she will be working on her psychology studies, she will also be marrying her boyfriend Oliver Mitchell.

Aloisia's Replacement - Kaitlyn

Here's the replacement for the giant Aloisia, Kaitlyn, also known as Celeste Bonin or Ricki Vaughn
I'll be interested to see how she does in the ring.
She seems to be doing pretty well with her character so far.
And the internet seems to like her.

WWE NXT Goes FCW Divas

It looks like the WWE will finally have an all female wrestling show.
Kinda.
Season 3 of WWE NXT will be all FCW Divas.
Allegedly SyFy was ready to pull the plug on the show because it was getting lower ratings than ECW had during it's run.
But someone figured out.....
"Hey...let's use beautiful women!"
Wow, you guys are quick.

Okay I'll stop complaining and take a look at the FCW Divas that will be competing...


Without a doubt, the Diva that's gonna attract the most attention is Aloisia, who you may know from the Indy wrestling promotions as Isis the Amazon.
Yes this woman lives up to that name at six foot nine.
Yes...six...foot...nine.
Even if she doesn't win the competition, I expect the WWE to pull a "Diva Search" and hire her anyway.

UPDATE: It looks like Aloisia has been removed from the line up.

The NXT ring announcer Jamie Keyes will be stepping into the ring as well.
Jamie's real name is Brittany Beede and she was born on December 31st, 1984 in Saraosota, Florida.

AJ Lee's real name is April Jeanette, and she was born on March 19, 1987 in Union City, New Jersey.
She has held the Queen of FCW title in Florida Championship Wrestling.


Next up is Aksana who is Lithuanian fitness model, bodybuilder Zivile Raudoniene.
Aksana was born on April 29, 1982 in Lithuania.
This five foot five, one hundred and thirty pound competitor has had first place finishes at the 2006 NPC Metropolitan, the NPC Pittsburgh, the 2007 IFBB New York Pro and the 2009 Arnold Classic.


Naomi Night's real name is Trinity McCray, and she too has held the Queen of FCW title.
Before wrestling, Naomi was a cheerleader with the Orlando Magic.
The WWE signed her in 2009.

Maxine, formerly known as Liviana in FCW (Karlee Perez), will also be competing.

It looks like this will be the last cycle of NXT unless the numbers go way up.

UPDATE: Since Aloisia is gone, will we get Ricki Vaughn or Christina Fox to replace her?

Female Wrestling News - Lisa Marie Varon, Mickie James, Gail Kim and More

TNA Knockout Tara (WWE's Victoria and aka Lisa Marie Varon) is still having a war of words with female MMA fighter Kim Couture.
I did a write up about it today on my Female MMA blog here.

Is Lilian Garcia really leaving WWE?
LOL...well they keep saying she is.
Right now a possible replacement for Lilian is FCW star Angela Fong.
I guess we will wait and see.

And speaking of FCW, I was wondering who FCW wrestler and valet "Candy Girl" was.
Well now I know.
And not because of a good thing.
Candy Girl (or "Liviana") was arrested on Sunday, June 14, 2009 on charges of Driving under the Influence.
Her real name, by the way, is Karlee Leliani Perez and she's a Tampa-based model.
The WWE and models.
Vince, look at Shimmer's roster.
Hire some wrestlers!
Geez!

And if the WWEs PG look is bothering you, blame John Cena.
Yes, Cena evidently campaigned for the new look.
Now if they would just get off the "look" and focus more on wrestling ability.

And just what happened in the infamous "Mickie James-Gail Kim" match last week on Raw?
Other than the surreal finish that is.
TWNP News reported that Mickie was "chewed out by management backstage at Raw on Monday as a result of how she reacted when her match with Gail Kim fell apart" and that Gail was "Kim was indeed out of it towards the end of the match, thus explaining why it fell apart. She was treated backstage during the show, but it was said to not be serious. "
Her condition wasn't serious?
What happened?
Was it because of that messed up cross body earlier?
Concussion maybe?

And I guess everyone knows that the new ECW Diva Courtney Taylor is actually Beverly Mullins from FCW (aka Daisy, aka Wesley Holiday).

FCW seems to be getting a lot of play these days huh?

The Female Wrestlers of Florida Championship Wrestling

April Mendes

Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) is the training ground for the WWE.
And like the WWE it has it's own divas.

Right now, their Diva roster consists of....

April Mendes (April Jeanette, Miss April)
Unlike a lot of the WWE's Diva prospects, April came in already knowing how to wrestle.
She's worked for wrestling promotions like Victory Pro Wrestling(VPW), National Wrestling Superstars (NWS), and American Championship Entertainment (ACE) as well as the all-female promotion Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU).
At WSU, she held the WSU Tag Team Championship with Brooke Carter.

Beverly (Beverly Mullins, Daisy,Wesley Holliday)
Beverly is a former Hooters Girl.
She may be making the jump to the main roster soon, as she has been involved in several dark matches for Raw and SmackDown!.
Although she was just the valet of Alex Riley, not actually wrestling.

Jenny Cash (Jenny Quinn)
Jenny is a model, wrestler and manager.
Jenny is also known as Fifi, the manager of Le French Men (Caylen Croft and Trent Beretta)
She is currently out of action with a torn ACL.

Penelope Carwin (Jemma Palmer)
English model and professional wrestler and formerly "Inferno" on the British "Gladiators" TV Show.
Although she hasn't had much in ring experience, this girl may be the one to keep an eye on. With the proper promotion, booking and breaks, I can see her as another Beth Phoenix, Victoria or Lita in the future.

Rachael Lynn (Rachael Carr)
British singer, dancer, TV presenter, model and body double.
I've heard rumors that she is already gone.

Serena (Serena Deeb)
Another diva that can actually wrestle.
She has worked for Ohio Valley Wrestling,Pro Wrestling Syndicate, Memphis Championship Wrestling, American Wrestling Rampage, Shimmer Women Athletes and held the OVW Women's Wrestling Championship a record six times.

Angela (Angela Fong)
Canadian born model, actress, valet and occasional wrestler.
For selfish reasons I want her up on the main roster because a Gail Kim / Angela Fong tag team would be so awesome.
Of course the WWE would have to bring back the Women's Tag Team Title....

Candy Girl (Carly)
Candy is an occasional Ring Girl, manager of Sweet Papi Sanchez and sometimes wrestler.

In the Summer of 2006, Milena Roucka participated in the WWE Diva Search (along with Layla El and Maryse Ouellet) and came in 4th place.
On August 24th, 2006, Milena signed a developmental contract with the WWE and was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).
On November 2006, she debuted as the valet for Bad Kompany (Mike Kruel, Shawn Osborne and Eddie Craven).
November 29th, 2006 on OVW TV, High Dosage beat Bad Kompany (with Milena) in a Handicap "Coal Miner's Glove on a Pole match".
On December 9th, 2006 on OVW Live, Eddie Craven, Mike Kruel and Milena Roucka defeated Jon Bolen, Ryan Reeves and Seth Skyfire.
February 7, 2007 at the OVW TV Tapings in the Miss OVW Contest, Milena Roucka participated in the Bra and Panties Competition.
On April 4th, 2007 she made her wrestling debut, teaming up with Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea and Melody to take on ODB, Serena, Victoria Crawford, and Maryse.
September 19th, 2007, Milena won a six way match to win the OVW Women's Championship. She held it for five months before losing it to Katie Lea on February 20th, 2008.
In March of 2008, Milena and several other OVW wrestlers made their debut in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
Soon after she was called up to the WWE and her ring name was changed to Rosa Mendes.
Although she was on the WWE main roster, she still made frequent appeances in FCW.
