Kharma is Gone...For Now

Wow.
I was really excited when I found out the Awesome Kong was going to the WWE.
It went against every "Diva rule" and I couldnt wait to see what happened.
Well, Kia (Kong) made this announcement on WWE....

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her and I really hope she does come back in a year and grinds the Bellas into dust.
I just almost wish the WWE had her just vanish and come back in a year.
Because now I think we will see a "Monster Face" when she comes back.

Anyway, some of the other Divas are getting in on the act via Twitter....

"Didn't expect that one! I respect @Kharma for BeliEVEing &; following her dreams. Just not when it involved planting my face into the ground."
-Eve

"I volunteer to give @Kharma a treadmill...it's my baby gift to her. Btw for all haters, stop hating im a HUGE @kharma fan myself, I'll buy the baby some awesome gap onesie... And also maybe some baby louis vuitton flats"
- Maryse

By the way, a lot of people got angry over the Bellas involvment at the end of the promo.
C'mon, this is the WWE, tasteless is everyday there.
What bugged me is that the Faces didnt come out and clear the ring.

Goodbye Michelle McCool, Hello Kharma

Isn't it kinda strange when the WWE Extreme Rules PPV has a better Divas match than Wrestlemania?
Yeah I thought so too.
I have to admit, I think Michelle McCool and Layla really brought it in their "Loser Leaves the WWE" match.
It was a better match than I expected.

Michelle McCool - WWE - WWE Diva

I'm not gonna change here and say that I'll miss Michelle McCool or that she was the greatest Diva the WWE ever had.
But she did come a long way from the 2004 WWE Diva Search.
Michelle held both the WWE Divas Championship twice and the WWE Women's Championship twice.
And LayCool was arguably one of the best ideas the WWE had for Divas recently....and was no way inspired by TNA's The Beautiful People.
::cough::

Is she gone "forever"?
Maybe.
With the Undertaker being seen less and less, I doubt he wants his wife pulling the grueling schedule that the WWE superstars do.
I would imagine he would want her to stay home.
Plus, there is that recently revealed foot injury to content with.

On a high note, we did get to see the appearance of Kia Stevens, aka Awesome Kong aka Kharma.
(You know I kinda got excited when I heard "Kharma" was coming to the WWE, I thought it was Jennifer Thomas)
Kharma got to come in, do the "Monster Heel" bit, demolish Michelle and scare the crap out of the other WWE Divas.

Please WWE, do a Brock Lesnar with Kia.
Have her do some run ins and crush some Divas (The Bellas, Kelly, Eve) before she really gets a storyline going.
You could do Gail versus Kharma (ala TNA) or do what I think most of the fans want, Beth Phoenix and Kharma.

The New WWE Divas

The WWE seems to have gone on a Diva hiring spree as of late with Brandi Reed, Irena Janjic, Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong) and Tenille Dashwood all being signed.
But how do they rate up against some of the best Divas the WWE has had like Victoria, Lita, Mickie James, Trish Stratus, Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim and Molly Holly?

Yep...Brandi Reed is pretty. But can she take a RKO?

Well Brandi Reed is absolutely gorgeous, but she's a model.
Okay, a lot of Divas started out as models so I'm not gonna go back there again and whine about that.
Irena Janjic was trained by Lance Storm at his pro wrestling school, the Storm Wrestling Academy in Calgary, Alberta and she competed in the Prairie Wrestling Alliance in Canada.
So she really can wrestle.
Ditto for Tenille Dashwood who has not only also trained by Lance Storm, but wrestled for PWA and several promotions in Australia as well.
And of course Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong) has been in wrestling for close to nine years already.
Not a "new" Diva to say the least.

I bet Kong will look like this in the WWE...

So this time around, the WWE only snagged one model.
Could it be that they are actually beginning to look at the Divas as actual wrestlers?
Or will they take the two rising stars and veteran and just use them in garbage roles?
Can we look forward to a renewal of the Gail Kim/Kong feud?
(So they actually use Gail for something?)
Or could we even hope for a Beth Phoenix/Kong feud?
Can Beth military press Kong?
Will we even get to see anything like that, or will Kong be made Michael Cole's bodyguard or something equally stupid?

I've given the WWE the benefit of the doubt before.
It didn't get me anywhere.

Before I go...here's a crazy idea.....

Why not take the new girls (with the exception of Kong of course) and put them in FCW?
Then take some of the girls in FCW like AJ and Naomi and move them up to the big WWE TV shows like Raw and/or Smackdown.
That way these ladies that have been gutting it out in Florida will be rewarded for all their time and effort.
And the new hires don't go right into the "major league" over their heads.

Awesome Kong in the WWE

Amazing Kong, Awesome Kong, Kia Stevens, Kong

Awesome Kong in the WWE?
The mind reels at the concept.
Did Vince have a psychotic break?
Kong looks nothing like his WWE Diva designs.
Kia Stevens stands five foot nine and weighs 272 pounds.
That's more than the combined weight of the Bella Twins!
And Kong can wrestle!
She's worked for All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, AWA Superstars of Wrestling, GAEA Japan, NEO Ladies Pro Wrestling and of course TNA.
So what is Vince thinking?

Will she come in as a heel or face?
Could she start up by crushing Natalya and Beth?
Or go after Lay-Cool?
(That would be pretty much like the Kong/Beautiful People storyline)
What about her old sparring partner Gail Kim?
Could we have power versus power with Beth and Kong?
(Beth is five foot six, 150 pounds)

To say the least, I'm interested in where this is going.
