Gail Kim Is In The Spotlight

Gail Kim Is In The Spotlight

Gail Kim seems to be getting more publicity now than she did the whole time she was back in the WWE.
For one thing, she is now the TNA Women's Knockout Champion and one half of the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions (with Madison Rayne).
This is the second time she has held the Knockout Championship and she's the second TNA Knockout to hold the Knockouts and Knockouts Tag Team Championships at the same time.
The other one was Gail's partner Madison.
And of course her upcoming Spring wedding with TV chef Robert Irvine keeps her in the media.

Gail has an interview up at SLAM! Wrestling that you can read here

And in an interview over at Diva Dirt, Tara (Lisa Marie Varon/Victoria) also talks a bit about Gail in her interview which you can listen to here

Ex WWE Diva Maria Returns to the Ring

Maria Returns to the Ring
http://beautiful-wrestling.blogspot.com/

With all the comings and goings in the WWE, it's hard to keep track of everyone.
But as we have seen with Mickie James, Lisa Marie Varon, Gail Kim and others, just because you leave the WWE, doesn't mean you leave wrestling.
Case in point, ex WWE Diva Maria Kanellis.
Yes Maria will be returning to the squared circle on February 25th, 2012 for New York City based wrestling promotion, Family Wrestling Entertainment.
This will be her first match in over two years, but she said recently on her Facebook page that she had resumed wrestling training.

Okay, Maria was really popular, but to me she was the ultimate Diva jobber.
Don't get me wrong, jobbers are important in wrestling.
They make the heels and faces look better and to tell you the truth, there arent really any jobbers left in the WWE Diva ranks anymore.
It's kind of a lost art.

As far as Family Wrestling Entertainment goes, I had never heard of them.
I checked their website and found this as their "mission statement"...

"Top Rope Promotions, LLC., is proud to present Family Wrestling Entertainment (FWE). FWE is committed to providing a family-friendly wrestling experience with all the action and excitement of the familiar TV-model but without any of the violence typically associated with wrestling entertainment. FWE’s exceptional story lines created by a variety of wrestling personalities provides a unique brand of in-ring entertainment that is appropriate for all members of the family. We are Family Wrestling Entertainment and we take our name very seriously."

Looking at an upcoming card, I noticed that former WWE Diva and current TNA Knockout Winter would be taking on another former WWE Diva Jackie Haas (who I really liked and thought the WWE pretty much wasted) in a match.
You can find out more about the promotion here:

Three New WWE Divas Yet to Debut

Three New Divas Set To Debut In The WWE
http://beautiful-wrestling.blogspot.com/

There are three up and coming female wrestlers that the WWE has signed that have not appeared yet.
Kira Forster (Taya Valkyrie), Saraya-Jade Bevis (Britani Knight) and Tenille Dashwood (Tenille Tayla).

Kira I did a write up on on one of my female fitness blogs.
http://fitness-bodybuilding-beauties.blogspot.com/2011/10/kira-forster-taya-valkyrie-fitness.html
She was trained at former WWE Superstar Lance Storm's Storm Wrestling Academy and wrestled in Canada under the ring name Taya Valkyrie.
Besides wrestling, she has a pretty extensive background as a fitness model and fitness competitor.

I also did a write up on Saraya-Jade Bevis, under her ring name Britani Knight over at my womens pro wrestling blog.
http://womensprowrestling.blogspot.com/2011/04/britani-knight-wrestler-britani-knight.html
If you follow UK wrestling at all, you know Britani is the daughter of famous British female grappler, Sweet Saraya.

And way back in 2009 I also did a write up on Australia native Tenille Dashwood who is now under contract with the WWE over at my female wrestling blog.
http://womensprowrestling.blogspot.com/2009/08/female-wrestling-tenille.html

I'm just glad the WWE is actually signing wrestlers instead of models.
Like I said, Kira was trained by Lance Storm, Britani was trained by her mother and her father "Rowdy" Ricky Knight at the WAW Academy and Tenille was trained by Lance Storm as well.
